The Application Support Analyst is an entry-level, full-time position within OHA’s Data Services department. A successful Application Support Analyst is a motivated individual who is customer focused and uses their analytical skills to find the root cause of an issue. This position will provide technical support for internal and external users of custom developed Web applications and Microsoft CRM. The Application Support Analyst will identify application issues and work with users to define acceptable solutions. The Application Support Analyst will have very strong attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and good written and oral communication skills. This position reports to the Senior Director, Data Services


Primary Duties:
• Provide a high level of customer support for OHA’s Web applications
• Work with application users to ensure compliance with OHA data reporting requests
• Troubleshoot application issues and functionality
• Track and report application issues, data submissions and data issues
• Develop an extensive working knowledge of the OHA’s Web application suite
• Provide problem determination, workaround resolution, and root cause analysis for application issues
• Assist in product testing and release
• Create productive relationships with and between key users

Secondary Duties as Needed:
• Provide end-user training on applications as needed
• Update and maintain user manuals (i.e. support materials and documentation) for OHA’s web applications
• Write and execute test plans and user acceptance testing cases for quality assurance of OHA’s applications
• Other related duties, as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in health information management, information technology, or related field
• Strong computer skills and extensive experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel required
• 1+ years of related experience
• Prior customer service experience is strongly desired
• Prior experience with hospital or related health care data preferred, but not required


• Strong attention to detail and a desire to generate documents that are correct and accurate
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle large volumes of work with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to bridge communication gap between technical and non-technical users
• Strong time management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments to meet rigorous and often overlapping deadlines
• Ability to learn SQL for the creation of ad hoc queries and data updates
• Proficient in current technologies and eager and willing to learn new ones
• Absolute trustworthiness when dealing with confidential information
• Willingness to ask questions as appropriate and take direction and coaching
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and with others
• Ability to get along with others
