Research Affiliates, LLC, a global leader in smart beta and asset allocation based in Newport Beach, CA is looking for an internal sales associate to provide support to the Distribution team, working directly with our external Relationship Managers, to coordinate and leverage the team’s outreach efforts.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Serve as an internal resource to distribution team by enabling more efficient outreach and follow up with RA investors and prospects
  • Identify prospects using digital analytics, event attendance lists, and other sources to more effectively generate demand opportunities for the team
  • Support outreach to the advisor market by identifying and targeting engaged advisor prospects, managing monthly check-in calls, and coordinating targeted outreach with relationship managers
  • Coordinate and produce bi-annual regional webinars for relationship managers utilizing senior resources
  • Maintain CRM data, client and prospect call lists, and related activities in support of distribution team
  • Liaise between distribution and IT teams regarding CRM initiatives
  • Support external product partners by generating monthly, quarterly, and annual activity and travel reports
  • Develop new ideas for sales team to increase AUM through targeted proactive outreach campaigns
  • Manage internal support processes including maintaining investor support inbox, responding to information requests and premium user requests, and submitting custom analytics requests
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

 

Skills/qualifications

  • Degree in Finance or equivalent
  • CFA charter and/or enrollment encouraged
  • 1-5 years investment management or financial services experience
  • Strong technical skills; High proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Professional is required
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Demonstrate effectiveness at problem solving, being a team player, creating trust amongst colleagues, and the ability to self-motivate
