The Brand Manager will be responsible for leading key projects and initiatives which effectively drive consumer conversation and conversion. This exciting position requires a dynamic and experienced Brand Manager who has demonstrated the ability to effectively build multi-channel marketing programs and balance strategic thinking with a focus on execution. An entrepreneurial mindset is a must.

The Brand Manager will be responsible for leading strategic planning across their portfolio, managing creative agencies, developing consumer communication strategy, creating below the line promotional programs, regularly analyzing the business/competitive landscape and overseeing A&P management.

The Brand Manager must demonstrate the ability to effectively thrive within a matrix environment which relies on cross functional teams to deliver objectives. This role offers the opportunity to be highly independent as part of a large, dynamic and collaborative team. The position will report to a Senior Brand Manager and will be supported by a Brand Director and VP of Marketing.

 

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Act as day-to-day general manager and owner of a major brand in the US; helping to develop brand AOP and CEP; manage brand P&L and drive A&P within spend guidelines
  • Support SBM, Director and VP coordination with BrandCos on asset creation
  • Develop and lead various programs, which may include: creation of national below the line activations with flexibility and local adaptation in mind; work with Innovation Hub on supporting brand innovation plans; deliver brand digital strategy/media engagement plans, working with Prestige team on high marque development amongst HNWI.
  • Ensure cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness of brand programs, in coordination with Director of Multicultural & Inclusivity
  • Always-on tracking of traditional and digital media strategies / trends, demand territories and occasions, brand perceptions, competitive analysis and business performance tracking/analysis.

 

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Strategic Planning: Support the development of the annual operating plan. Lead the execution of some of the following brand execution elements, supporting the SBM on others: breakthrough consumer programs (which will include above the line, below the line, and trade facing programs). Evaluate creative ideas and thinking with a critical eye and understanding of the brand equity, vision and strategic priorities.

Collaboration & Integration: Lead cross functional and agency teams to drive excellence in execution for brand programming

Analysis and Reporting: Track and manage brand business performance including net sales, volume, share and profit. Identify, prioritize and solve relevant issues in business performance. Serve as an expert on market and competitor trends to identify core business threats and growth opportunities.

Internal & External Brand Champion: Leverage excellent presentation and story-telling skills, passion and energy to be the primary advocate for the brand internally (e.g. management presentations, sales force meetings etc.) and externally

Innovation: Champion the US consumer in the development of innovation and lead the preparation of in-market execution of new innovations.

A&P Management: Plan and manage multi-million-dollar marketing budget. Ensure that budget is effectively planned and optimized throughout the year.

Assist with the development of the Strategic Brand & Quarterly Business Reviews by analyzing category opportunities, current business performance, identifying key consumer targets and activation strategies

Experience:

  • BS/BA Marketing, Media and or Communications Degree (MBA a plus).
  • Minimum, 5 years of Brand Management experience
  • Preferred: Experience in CPJG, BevAlc or lifestyle categories
  • Creative agency management
  • Project management, data analysis, budget management
  • This role is based in New York City, NY
  • Approximately 25% travel to field locations.
