Senior Associate - Capital Goods Coverage, HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., New York, NY.

 

Provide general support to the Global Relationship Banker in servicing client relationships and enhancing income generation.  Identify opportunities, undertaking appropriate analysis and preparation of proposals and pitches for existing or new products and services.  Support the Global Relationship Banker to drive the client dialogue on capital structure, liability management, liquidity and funding strategies, cash management and global trade and receivables finance opportunities.  Participate in transactional execution, including preparing and presenting internal committee memos, client presentations and due diligence.  Liaise with members of the client service team, ensuring a coordinated approach to enhancing the client relationship.  Act as main point of contact for clients and internal colleagues, and effectively manage inquiries, in absence of Global Relationship Banker.  Attend client meetings and events as well as internal trainings and conferences.

 

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Qualifications

 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.
 

Qualifying experience must include:

 

  • Client focused environment including corporate finance, risk management and/or capital markets.
  • Performing financial and credit analysis, including review of SEC filings, credit quality, industry, competitors and products
  • Corporate banking and capital markets experience including diverse range of products and services supporting commercial banking or investment banking transactions
  • Experience in transaction elements including KYC, credit, internal communications to various committees and other internal approvals
  • Capital Goods sector
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Bloomberg, FactSet and Deal Sites (Syndtrak, or similar)
     

Must have active FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79, or be able to obtain within 4 months of hire/promotion.
 

Domestic travel required up to 5%.
