The US Core Banking IT team
is responsible for a broad range of services including wholesale and retail
deposits, payment processing, remote deposit capture and check processing. These services are leveraged by multiple
global business lines including retail and wholesale banking, wealth management
and global banking & markets.
Technologies span multiple platforms including mainframe, mid-range (AS/400)
and distributed (Windows and Linux). We
are the heart of banking, supplying the core behind the customer facing
channels that include ATM’s, credit cards, internet banking, mobile banking,
phone banking, and teller activities.
The successful candidate
will be part of the US Core Banking IT team to help deliver projects for business
specializing in Agile and DevOps technology adoption & enablement
The Technology Country
Management job is accountable to the head of core banking. This positon entails
maintaining business relationships, execution of global and regional strategy,
and management / oversight of all local execution, change portfolio, and
Technology service.
Key
Accountabilities (include but are not limited to):
- Responsible for
managing Technology Engineering Teams for application development, remediation,
and service management
- Responsible to
head of core banking for providing oversight and coordination for all
Technology Services and business relationships, managing resources from multiple
Technology disciplines
- Responsible to
head of core banking for providing management and oversight of all local
execution and change portfolio Responsible for direct cost, headcount
management, and annual planning for team
- Responsible for
end to end development
- Responsible for
application service management including effective problem management and
change governance to ensure quality of service
- Responsible for
local execution of global changes
- Responsible for
representing the local changes to the global teams
- Responsible to
head of core banking for monitoring the strategy outlined by regional CIO, as
well as GB/GF CIOs, Heads of Technology Functions
- Responsible for
ensuring that all demand is clearly articulated and for ensuring that relevant
information is captured to enable local demand to be prioritised
- Responsible for
developing Technology roadmap, covering all relevant GB/GF and Technology Function
activities to support the effective delivery of key business objectives
- Support creation
and maintenance of relevant government, regulatory changes
- Support global,
regional and local audits
- Provide senior
management with full oversight of and advice on all Technology issues e.g. resolution of critical Technology
incidents & coordination of key change and delivery deployments
- Responsible for
vendor management
- Responsible for
review of all production access
- Responsible for
application lead on crisis management calls
- Responsible for
production support
- Responsible for
team weekly time reporting
- Highly
motivated and able to work independently, under pressure and proactively in a
fast paced environment with multiple deadlines with multiple teams
- Positive,
proactive and can-do attitude
- Prior working
experience of commercial banking will be an advantage but not a must
- Strong
analytical, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
- Prior
management skills
- Able to adjust
in rapidly changing environment and to prioritize your activities and set the
right expectations with your stakeholders
- Availability
for after-hours production support on an as needed basis.
- Understanding
of Agile principles; SAFE certification would be a plus
- Understanding
of the iSeries helpful
