Who we are

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world.  In 72 countries and territories serving around 48 million customers, our ambition is to be where the growth is, connecting customers to opportunities, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper.

Our structure

At HSBC, our focus is on cultivating an engaging and fulfilling work place environment. Throughout this program there will be an opportunity to create networks in all HR functions across our global businesses: Commercial Banking, Global Banking and Markets, Global Private Banking, and Retail Banking and Wealth Management. Our unrivalled global presence gives us access to a variety of global initiatives, ways of working, and platforms to develop critical HR skills while contributing to our annual strategic priorities. This program will provide a holistic view of what HR has to offer throughout rotational on-the-job experiences.

HSBC and you

We are looking for the future leaders of our US Human Resources. You will need to be forward-thinking, driven and perceptive, open to different ideas and cultures, and enjoy being part of a team.

During your program, you will undertake four rotations. This will enable you to develop professional and technical skills and relationships in all different areas of Human Resources – including (not limited to): Talent Development, Performance & Reward, Recruitment, and HR Business Partner functions.

You will gain exposure across a global enterprise HR function and develop the ability to respond to questions from clients and build reliable partnerships with internal teams. You will also gain a thorough understanding of risk and judgement, which is vital to protecting the interests of our clients.

Throughout the program, we will support, guide and develop you, while our leaders will help you to be the best you can be, reflecting your interests and capabilities.

We will provide the support, tools and opportunities for you to drive your own career development. As you move through the different areas of HR, you will learn from selected specialized HR professionals as well business leaders. To help refine your skills, you will be assigned a professional coach, mentor and buddy to provide advice and guidance as you transition into your role.

The US HR Development Program is the beginning of an exciting and potentially international career. On completion of the program, you will have the opportunity to progress towards a permanent role with increased responsibility.
