The Engineering Technician III (Maximo) is an intermediate level engineering technician position. The primary responsibility for this position is to ensure the functionality of Metropolitan’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program (Maximo) within the organization. This position is also responsible for conducting field data collection and tests, reviewing and analyzing data, performing inspections of equipment, preparing reports and establishing maintenance policies or procedures.

The successful candidate must have experience in the use of mobile technology for creating PM/CM work orders, asset data collection, failure code reporting, time reporting, and capturing condition monitoring data for Condition Based Maintenance (CBM). In addition, this position will also support users at all levels by training, troubleshooting CMMS issues, and supporting mobile devices and mobile application software as well as other maintenance related technologies used with the Maximo database.

Successful candidate must have a basic understanding of (1) Oracle SQL and PL/SQL language for report development and Maximo support; and (2) Predictive maintenance tools such as: vibration monitoring, oil analysis or other diagnostic technologies used to track the condition of equipment.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate, and two years of accredited college or university in engineering and six years of relevant experience, two years of which must have been at the Engineering Technician II level.

Relevant Experience is defined as work experience with:

(1) Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) including training, troubleshooting or report development
(2) Mobile applications with CMMS interface
(3) Analyzing / trending data related to vibration analysis or rotating equipment
(4) Developing maintenance reports using Birt, Crystal, Cognos, or Actuate

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
