This Program Analyst position is located in the Deployment and Logistics Division, within the Office of Security Capabilities (OSC), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If selected for this position, you will serve as the TSA agency lead and subject matter expert in the assigned program area. You will serve as principal specialist for challenging projects, programs, or activities under minimal direction of a manager or executive. Typical assignments include:
To qualify for the SV-J Pay Band (equivalent to GS-14/15), you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-I Pay Band or GS-13 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience would include performing analyses and making recommendations to improve program performance; identifying policies to define and organize resources for large projects and programs; establishing and tracking operational metrics to identify trends to improve program efficiency and determining strategies to determine resource requirements and assess potential threats to project/program completion.
NOTE: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
