Job Summary
Benjamin Moore & Co. is committed to the support and development of our independent retailer network. The Manager, Retail Training role will be responsible for executing training programs that focus on both meeting business objectives and striving for a best in class customer experience. The position will lead projects and drive activities related to identification, development, design, delivery and evaluation of learning solutions aimed at continuously improving retailer performance in focused areas of customer service, retail selling skills, sales coaching and retailer operations.

Required Skills:
* Lead the development and training and coaching strategies to improve the service and sales quality within the independent outlets.
* In cooperation with key stakeholders, regional trainers and independent owners, deploy new development initiatives by determining necessary training resources and processes including follow-up activities in order to ensure quality standards are met and achieved.
* Conducts needs analysis, identifies skill gaps for customer service standards, selling skills and business operations leading to the development, design, adaptation or updates programs to meet the independent retailer’s development needs.
* Determines the appropriate delivery method including self-study, classroom instructions, computer-based training, e-learning etc.
* Leads the communication and marketing of programs and initiatives to all levels of the organization and retailer organizations for maximum buy-in, awareness and participation.
* Consults with retailer owners, managers and employees on learning, education, training and development needs to improve our retailer channel business needs.
* Facilitate training sessions taking into account local requirements and constraints on the business

Required Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree with 5 - 7+ years’ experience in training and development
* Experience in retail organization with a focus on selling skills and customer service
* Ability to work independently and manage work with minimal supervision
* Strong coaching and collaboration skill
* Strong communication skills including presentation capabilities and constructive feedback delivery
* Team player with a strong customer service and retail orientation.
* Proactive with strong retail business acumen and ability to interact with stores/clients and provide realistic solutions
* Demonstrated ability to create and operate within a budget
* Experience with development tools such as storyline 2 and captivate are a plus
* Must be willing to travel up to 25%
