Job Summary
* This individual will serve a central role by providing data driven insights to our key business questions. The individual will provide information about trends related to markets, competitors, customers as well as marketing campaign effectiveness. They will rely heavily on raw data from primary research, secondary research, syndicated research, social and digital data to name a few. Leveraging the variety of data sources, the individual will package the key insights to tell a credible and compelling story for senior management, with a goal of prompting action, rather than just delivering information.
* The nature of the role is to help support and enable the business to (a) make data driven decisions (b) measure performance and ROI (c) look for opportunities to improve marketing and product strategy. As a result, we are looking for someone who has strong business acumen with superior skills in managing and manipulating data to identify relevant trends and insights. The role will be part of the growing market research and analytics team.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage and integrate data from a variety of sources including; syndicated & primary research, digital and operational (sales and marketing).
* Provide data analysis of sales, marketing, survey (proprietary and syndicated), digital, social media and secondary data to provide customer perspective to help guide strategic and tactical direction for marketing and sales.
* Develop and update dashboards to provide quick overview of trends and research findings on a monthly basis and track and visualize KPI’s.
* Evaluate suite of existing third party data to identify gaps and redundancies to set direction.
* Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships between financial outcomes and marketing actions to raise profitability and provide ROI assessments.
* Work with Brand Management to identify enhanced or new marketing opportunities.
* Conduct industry analysis: Technological, Social, Political, Economic and Competitive.
* Work with digital team to develop and support strategy to track online behavior of Benjamin Moore’s digital properties as well as social media engagement.
* Provide daily snapshot, carry away Dashboards (e.g. excel spreadsheets and reports).
* Assists in the design of research projects, which answer particular business questions.
* Work directly with Brand Managers on sales and profitability trending by brand and sub-brand.

Required Skills
* BS in marketing, economics, statistics, marketing research, or other related field; Masters or MBA Preferred
* 3-5 years of analytical experience in a business environment required, preferable within the marketing function
* Ability to support business reporting and drive successful completion of projects
* Strong business acumen, analytical, problem solving, data management skills.
* Proficient with managing and building relational Databases using SQL (e.g. Access).
* Familiar with analytic programs like SPSS, SAS or R and data reporting/visualization software such as Tableau.
* Advanced Microsoft skills.
* Skilled in data visualization (reporting info graphics) and presentation.
* Familiar with various web tracking software such as Google Analytics and other Social Media listening tools.
* Demonstrated knowledge of sales and, business and marketing process.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
* Should be able to contribute to planning and strategic thinking.
* Ability to manage and respond in a sometimes ambiguous environment with shifting and evolving priorities.
