Dart is seeking a proven and experienced EHS Specialist for our Leola, PA plant. As an EHS Specialist you will work as a part of a team to coordinate, maintain, train and provide oversight of environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs at a plant.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or other science field, or
    • Associate degree in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or other science field with two years of related experience, or
    • High School diploma or equivalent with four (4) years of related experience
  • Ability to utilize and train employees on technology, processes and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes
  • Strong written communication skills demonstrating the ability to prepare outlines, reports, letters, and any other supplemental materials in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to modify basic reports, documents and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and SharePoint 
  • Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures
  • Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in handling compliance issues, OSHA/EPA programs, regulatory reviews, permit preparation, reporting and record keeping 
  • Experience in evaluating/interpreting OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and NFPA, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, BOMA and BOCA standards 
  • Experience with Federal, State and local Worker’s Compensation law and prior experience establishing proactive Ergonomics Program 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Paper converting, chemical/plastics processing and packaging industrial experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification
