Los Angeles Event Logistics Manager Job Description

The Logistics Manager is at the heart of all operations in the events department. The Logistics Manager is responsible for all LA-Based events after the contract has been signed including gathering day-of information, overseeing all communication between clients and graphic designers, managing activation details, overseeing event staffing, and maintaining our level of excellence in service and output. The Logistics Manager should be organized, detail-oriented, personable, and comfortable managing small and large teams outside of regular business hours. The Logistics Manager is responsible for the success of the event from beginning to end. As such, they are on call for any and all event needs on an as-needed basis outside of regular work hours.

REGULAR TASKS (included but not limited to):
-Communicate with clients to manage all details
-Maintain daily communication with sales team and equipment team
-Work as a liaison between the client and the design team to complete their vision for the activation
-Schedule staff for local events and/or subcontractors in other cities and markets.
-Manage travel
-Order branded items from various vendors for events
-Manage activations remotely
-Work at a portion of the events you manage (for additional compensation)
-Make sure COIs, Vendor Agreements, and other paperwork are in place.
-Manage the logistics support team to help you with your duties
-Manage online events gallery
-10am-5pm M-F in our Glendale office

REQUIREMENTS:
-Organized and detail-oriented
-Excellent written and verbal communication
-Management/leadership experience
-Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Sheets, and Calendar
-A positive attitude, willing to work in the chaotic world of events
-Desire to create and improve upon existing systems
-Team player with outgoing personality
-Thrives on having multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
-Willing to work outside of regular business hours to answer questions and troubleshoot issues that arise at events
-Ability to manage your own workload and effectively prioritize an always changing list of tasks without direct oversight
-Dedication to high-quality, attentive service

PREFERRED:
-Operations/CRM experience
-Event experience
-Photography experience
-Proficiency in Photoshop
-Proficiency with Windows
-General tech savviness


SALARY AND HOURS:
-35+ hours weekly (this will fluctuate depending on the number of upcoming events).
-$18 per hour while training for first month, $20 per hour second month during transition, $22 per hour beginning third month and all following months of employment.
-Additional compensation available for working events.
