Job Description:
Harris is seeking a Production Planner to assist in the processing, communication of status and expediting the day to day hardware production along with the management of repairs. We are seeking a highly versatile, energetic, problem solving individual. A strong candidate will have excellent skills in the areas of: communication (both written and verbal), organization (physical and electronic), collaboration and interpersonal interactions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interfacing with Shop Floor Supervision and the Production Planning Manager to schedule and prioritize hardware production as well as the Depot Operations Manager to schedule and prioritize repair items.
- Maintaining accurate WIP/Can Build statuses.
- Exceeding monthly delivery goals defined internally and externally.
- Collaborating with the incoming inspection team to ensure that material is received into the stockroom in a timely manner.
- Using and updating MRP system to ensure data integrity.
- Teaming with multiple organizations to highlight areas where extra support from the Operations staff is required.
- Tracking customer orders and purchase order requisitions.
- Communicating material requirement to the procurement manager and material expeditors via the “collaborative tool”.
- Understanding, processing and managing both soft/hard copies of documentation in a variety of work in process tracking tools.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering with 5+ years’ experience in Manufacturing or Production of electronics equipment.
- 3+ years’ experience working in a production coordination role or other materials control function.
- 3+ years’ experience creating Excel spreadsheet pivot tables.
- Active Secret Security Clearance
