Graduate in fall of 2008. Personal Goals: Monitor and display concern over each child's needs while working in a very personable and loving environment. Professional Work Experience: YMCA: Teaching Assistant/Floater: Foster learning by interacting and assist Lead Teacher in the classroom. Assist children in learning ABC's, numbers. Also, sing songs and transitions to the children. In addition, attend workshops and staff meetings when necessary. Head Start: Teacher Assistant- Foster learning by planning activities through Creative Curriculum. Also sing songs, read books, and help make enrichments for the classroom. Attend an in service training throughout the year. Practicum 192- (Bergan Mercy Childcare Center)- Infant/Toddler: Foster behavior using a daily planner. Read books to the children and create enrichments for the classroom. Attend regular staff meetings with the instructor. Practicum 191- (Head Start) -Preschool: Foster learning by observing the classroom, taking notes and assisting the lead teacher. Attend parent/teacher conference and a monthly parent meeting. Learned various techniques on guidance and discipline while in the classroom. St. Mark Lutheran Church: Teacher Aide)- Create and make activities for the children during Vacation Bible School. Assist teacher by explaining activity to a small group of children. Sang songs with the group in between activities. Work with Head /Start and Montessori with Best Temps and Heartland Temporaries. Omaha 2000-(Teacher) I assist Lead Teacher by fostering learning through the classroom. I also read books to the children, singsongs and transitions at various times. In addition, I also assist in doing art activity with the teachers. Plus, I also interacted with children, rubbed backs during naptime, and ate with the children during mealtime and snack time. Wonderful World Childcare Center-(Teacher Assistant)- Foster learning by assisting with art projects and aiding with diapering and changing of Toddlers. Also helped to rub backs during Nap time. Interacted with children throughout the day. Kinder Care. (Teaching Assistant) I interacted and monitored the classroom on a daily basis. I also foster learning by using various activities. Plus, I followed the children outside and took child count periodically. Mount Calvary Lutheran Church-Program for Deaf Children Before and After School Volunteer: Volunteered as an Aide by using sign language to Deaf children. Assisted lead teachers and the children with special projects, and helped them to understand stories, problems, etc.
