The Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit is being held this week in Laguna Niguel, CA (Oct 3-5, 2011). This years conference should prove to be very exciting! Some of the featured speakers include Tyra Banks (CEO Bankable enterprises), Lloyd Blankfein (CEO Goldman Sachs Group, Inc), Maliz Beams (CEO, ING Retirement Insurance Americas), Warren Buffett (Chairman and CEO Berkshire Hathaway Inc) and many more.


Now more then ever, women are becoming a more powerful factor in the workforce. Women now make up 46.% percent of the labor force. Many major compaines have begun to take notice. Just last September, Wal-Mart announced a multibillion-dollar initiative to promote female workers and women-owned businesses. Some of the key sponsors at the Fortune Most Powerful Women conference include some of the biggest corporations in the world including Pfizer, Coca Cola, ExxonMobil, Thomson Reuters and Barclays, just to name a few.


While some of the biggest companies in the world will be sponsoring the event, many of the most prominiant women CEO's will be attending. Participants include Indra Nooyi of PepsiCO, Ellen Kullman of DuPont, Pat Woertz of ADM, and Denise Morrison of Campbell Soup. Sheryl Sandberg of Facebook, Charlene Begley of GE, Ginni Rometty of IBM, Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, Mellody Hobson of Ariel Investments, Sheri McCoy of Johnson & Johnson and Susan Chambers of Wal-Mart will also be attending.
