In this role, you will safely and timely perform routine and non-routine building maintenance to maximize efficiency. There are so many opportunities and different aspects of the job to learn and keep each day exciting. We have a Friendly atmosphere, Safe working environment and Great pay.  

 Available Shift: 7:30am-4:00pm

 

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements. 
  • Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards 
  • Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) 
  • Responsible for the following:
    • checking all equipment for any malfunctions repair as necessary. 
    • taking all meter readings assigned to your shift at designated times
    • manually blowing down on all air compressor condensate pots
    • mixing boiler and cooling tower chemicals.
    • cleaning back wash socks.
    • checking oil levels in all compressors add as needed
    • recording boiler combustion temps on chart every 4 hrs.
    • checking pentane cyclone drum and record bead and water level, then empty drum.
    • checking oil levels in all cooling tower gear boxes add oil if needed.
    • cleaning filters for cooling tower water returning to pit as needed.
    • monitoring steam pressure, air pressure and water pressure maintain operating levels at all times.
    • monitoring pentane recovery system adjust as needed.
    • checking for and complete any work orders that have been assigned to you
    • checking and make any repairs necessary to keep all boiler room equipment functional and boiler room clean.
    • inventory compressor oils, salt, and boiler room chemicals
    • mixing boiler chemicals
    • performing  low water cut off test on boilers
    • performing weekly and monthly fire suppression tests.
    • removing & replacing electric motors,pumps,gearboxes,thermacouples,transducers,watermeters,gas meters, level sensors, fire eyes, thermos cameras, and Mod motors.
  • May troubleshoot basic electrical equipment problems such as changing fuses, buttons, and switches
  • Utilize specific knowledge for a variety of skilled trades, including but not limited to, production and facility machinery and equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pipefitting, carpentry, utilities, etc. 

 

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Five (5) years’ experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience with trade school or training
  • Special knowledge in use of hand-tools, power-tools
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis, compare and investigate information, and recommend and implement resolution
  • Proven analytical problem solver 
  • Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities
  • Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Familiar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versa
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Advanced understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gauges
  • Understand manufacturing processes and able to inspect and repair or replace components.
  • Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to modify basic reports, documents and spreadsheets in MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Experience operating test equipment and/or software
  • Ability to operate Powered Industrial Truck(PIT), hoists and cranes, and maintain PIT certification
  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues 

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Paper converting, chemical/plastics processing and/or packaging industrial experience
  • Vocational, Technical or Associate Degree in Machine Tool, Machine Maintenance, Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanics, Mechatronics Technology, Automation Controls, Robotics or related field 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to modify basic reports, documents and spreadsheets in MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical trades such as HVAC, PLC, and CNC
