As a Senior Administrative Analyst (Records) you will be responsible for a broad range of strategic projects and initiatives related to records management for a wide range of internal customers at Metropolitan. You will plan, execute, and/or support records projects and services relating to information lifecycle management and electronic recordkeeping practices, as well as records management technology and content management systems.

You will serve as a technical specialist on project teams; perform data analysis and research assignments; documents results; makes recommendations regarding legacy data; provide executive-level verbal presentations and written recommendations relating to records management. You will also have the opportunity to implement working practices relating offsite storage, auditing, and disposition of records.

Additional responsibilities include: developing file plans and conducting inventories; assuring the accuracy and integrity of the Records Management System (RMS); Creating and executing project plans and providing project management oversight to drive the off-site records storage goals; researching and assisting with the implementation of new and existing records retention periods; Proposing new and improved workflows for records retention review; ensuring proper records management controls are in place; documenting standard processes for information creation, access, classification, retention and disposition; supporting the design of training programs for records management initiatives; and ensuring project documents are completed, current and stored in designated repositories.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience;

OR Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of relevant experience; OR two years in an MWD Analyst classification.


Relevant Experience is defined as: work experience in an Records Management program which may include records inventories, retention schedules, paper and electronic filing systems, records management techniques and Enterprise Content Management systems.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
