The role of the Audit Data Analyst in HSBC Global Internal Audit (GBL INA) is to support IT audit teams in designing and utilizing automated analytical tools and statistical approaches, to improve the overall effectiveness of the execution of audit activities. The role requires close liaison with auditors to ensure analytics are implemented that support objectives of internal audit reviews. Strong technical skills are needed to gain the respect and confidence of internal IT stakeholders and to identify, design, build, and implement innovative auditing solutions.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor degree in information systems/computer science, accounting, mathematics, quantitative, numerical science or related field or equivalent experience;
- Experience with Business Intelligence / analytical, visualization tools, ETL and programming (e.g. Python, R, SAS, SQL, QlikView, Tableau);
- Experience with bank systems and programming (e.g. AS/400) would be a plus
- Strong analytical, decision making, interpersonal, time management and problem solving skills;
- Experience in designing and implementing advanced data analytics solutions adopting data science techniques;
- External or internal audit experience will be helpful, but not essential;
