Senior technical analyst/developer for the US-based HR IT team which is part of the broader global Corporate Functions IT function.

  • Candidate will be working in a fast paced, cloud based environment with peers across HR IT and serve as the technical lead primarily working on SAP Successfactors, SAP Employee Central Payroll and related parts of the SAP Successfactors suite; Knowledge of SAP Successfactors is a requirement
  • The indvidual will serve as the Americas contact for SAP Successfactors upgrades and address and resolve support tickets
  • Addressing HR data issues and 3rd party system integrations will be required .
  • The individual will participate in transformation challenges of varying complexity to enable the function to continue to run, transformation however also deliver service.
The role is global and across multiple HSBC service lines within the Corporate Function area. This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:
  • Demonstrate an ability to work on an international team but can also do so independently on a wide variety of projects across a series of workstreams, building stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments and change
  • Perfom duties to stay within department and project budgets and time constraints 
  • Manage the reporting of progress, issues, dependencies and risks to committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
  • Utilize Agile methodologies and DevOps practices within Technology teams (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) in line with corresponding transformation frameworks at the bank/in Corporate Functions
  • Ensure adherence to the Change Management Policy in order to avoid or minimise the risk of disrupting services to customers and users.
  • Experience with the delivery of major Transformational programs within banks
  • Extensive Knowledge of Business Process and back end Automation initiatives
  • Experience of Incident and Problem Mangement
  • SME experience of applications and automation
Customers / Stakeholders
  • HR Operations teams based primarily in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Buffalo and NYC, New York. They will be our primary business stakeholders in the US who are responsible for Payroll, Benefits, Learning & Development, and Time off
  • They willl work closely with the business on conference calls, videoconferences and through email and online texts
  • The individual will work closely with the HR IT team offshore in India and build lasting relationships with these stakeholders by meeting and delivering upon their technology needs; demonstrating and being respected for your knowledge.
  • They will provide support and consulting with groups to determine planning, delivery, transition and operations direction, and to ensure smooth business as usual delivery and project implementations.
  • Ensure they will follow appropriate internal policies and processes and that thorough risk analysis is carried out, to meet the goal of improved platform and service availability.
  • Ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.

  • Continuously monitor the sub-function teams, gather information from IT sources to assess potential impacts and identify risks, necessary changes and business opportunities.
  • Apply IT policies, procedures, practices and standards to their allocated tasks, taking responsibility for their own actions, to ensure the achievement of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.
