As the Revenue and Budget Section Manager you will: direct Metropolitan’s budget operations including preparing the operating and capital biennial budgets; develop water rates and charges and revenue projections to fund the operating and capital budgets; monitor budget to actual for revenues and expenses throughout the year and recommend adjustments as necessary; and provide financial analyses as requested.

You will represent Metropolitan at a variety of meetings, seminars and conferences; directs the preparation of recommendations, reports and other materials for the Board of Directors; and make presentations to the financial community, legislative and other professional groups, to the Board of Directors, District staff and to the general public. You will also perform administrative duties including: budget formulation and execution for the department; employee selection; training and evaluation; and report preparation.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university and fourteen years of increasingly responsible relevant experience, of which five years must have been in a management or supervisory position; or an advanced degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university and twelve years of increasingly responsible relevant experience, of which five years must have been in a management or supervisory position.

Relevant Experience is defined as: managing and developing budgets; financial analysis; or developing rates and charges on behalf of an organization

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
