Within the Resource Development Team of the Water Resource Management Group, the Associate Resource Specialist will be responsible for implementing projects and programs relating to water resources planning and development. You will perform research, analysis and studies related to regional groundwater, stormwater, recycling and other new supplies and review related regulations and legislation; plan and participate in groundwater and stormwater stakeholder meetings and water supply related workshops; and participate in cross-functional teams developing innovative approaches to address water resource development challenges. In this position, you will also operate and maintain water resource models, manage program agreements, monitor studies, and review deliverables.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of relevant experience; or two years in a MWD Assistant Resource Specialist II classification; or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience.


Relevant Experience is defined as: Work experience within geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, stormwater management, and/or water or power resource analysis.


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
