Position Description:
Performs professional level administrative functions for the administration of corporate risk and insurance.
Perform functions of the department including but not limited to the following activities:
 Identification, measurement, and analysis of all exposures to financial loss
 Research, study, and make recommendation on methods of funding risks
 Determine insurable values
 Evaluate insurance agents and brokers
 Evaluate optimal loss-retention levels
Work with claims groups/legal to insure proper information and documentation is provided as it relates to the settlement of claims involving the property and casualty insurance program.
Coordinate audits with insurance companies and HR Payroll related to worker's compensation, general liability and automobile insurance programs.
Directs and prepares information, instruction and/or directs related to risk activities to insurance broker, legal department, management and employees.
Calculate, compile prepares, analyzes, and/or makes recommendation on information and reports including but not limited to risk and insurance statistics, budgets and trends analysis/survey data.
Works closely with contracts and business groups on contract insurance requirements.

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree business, finance, other related field with previous experience or interest in performing risk management functions
Experience in risk and insurance department, insurance brokerage, treasury or contracts role.
Demonstrated knowledge of property and casualty insurance policies.
Experience with the application of math, algebra, and statistical formulas.
Experience in reading and interpreting insurance policies or contracts.
Experience in the use of office equipment and software programs including but not limited to Excel and Word.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Demonstrated ability to formulate response to audits involving general and automobile liability, workers' compensation, and property damage.
Detail oriented
Experience reading and interpreting insurance policies and contracts, governmental regulations and statutes, insurance applications, manuals, and professional and trade journals.
Experience developing information and conducting formal presentations.
Minimum Applicable driver's license
Preferred Charter Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).
Mobility to travel in and around office facilities and to job sites both in and out of state.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations.
Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
