This position requires a Program Coordinator to work as a member of the CRS Rice Bowl team within the US Church Engagement Programs and Resources Unit (PARU). The primary responsibility of the Speakers Tour Coordinator is to coordinate and implement the CRS Solidarity Tour during Lent, as well as miscellaneous speaker tours and events throughout the year.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact, representative, and liaison for speakers and CRS staff seeking speakers and/or implementing speaker tours.
  • Coordinate and execute the annual CRS Speakers Tour during Lent: handle speaker travel and related logistics, orientation program and hospitality, communications and materials development, tour/speaker finances, and debriefing sessions.
  • Manage the Speaker SharePoint site, CRS Speakers' webpage, and internal speaker Google site.
  • Track the Speakers Tour budget and expenses.
  • Compile data for mid-year and year end reports; evaluate tour results based on data.
  • Develop and conduct orientation program components including in-person orientation sessions, webinars and meetings to orient speakers regarding storytelling and to further train staff on how to support a speaker tour.
  • Develop marketing materials, both online and print, to promote the speaker tours to various audiences including, but not limited to, biographies, country information, fliers, bulletin information and videos.
  • Coordinate the work of consultants, including translators and temporary consultants, as needed.
  • Work with Overseas Operations and other units to recruit high quality speakers. Work with CRS Rice Bowl Team, Regional Offices, Media and other relevant departments to pinpoint key strategic speaker messaging and promote speaker events.
  • Coordinate other speaker tours, events, and special projects as needed throughout the year, including thank you tours, home leave speaker events, single regional tours, donor/ advocacy visits, or keynote conference events.
  • Implement and maintain Speakers Bank, helping to answer requests for speakers across the agency.
  • Handle other duties such as administrative support as needed to maintain the effective and efficient operation of the unit/division.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Core Competencies:

  • Strong project management skills: initiates projects, consults with appropriate staff, and sees tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple layers of logistics including: travel (transportation, lodging, security documents), scheduling, finances, communications internally and externally,
  • Completes work in a timely manner and within the budgetary guidelines.
  • Command of the English language, including syntax, grammar and usage. Strong proofreading skills. Ability to write and edit promotional materials, documents and reports.
  • Strong computer skills with proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and SharePoint. Experience with constituency database such as Salesforce also a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Catholic Church structures, preferred.

Travel: 10%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 1 -3 years of experience.
  • Spanish language skills preferred (native speaker a plus)

Physical Requirements/Environment: Normal office environment
