The City of Gainesville is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual who is innovative and forward thinking that will embrace the organization's citizen centered vision.  The community, its elected leaders, and executive leadership team have embraced this vision. Tasks to be performed may include but not be limited to:

• Operating power tools to maintain, fabricate, and repair parts for equipment, repairing compressors, pumps, and related equipment.
• Creating parts and fixtures by cutting and shaping metals
• Performs electrical repairs on facility, park and or plant equipment.
• Repairs and replaces toilets, sinks, and urinals in public restrooms and facilities.
• Repairs and replaces park bollards, fences and board walks
• Inspects park facilities for infrastructure for deficiencies, and records inspections on mobile devices.

To be considered for this position you must have:

• Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma, and
• Three (3)  years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
