Product Development

• Manage and work on variety of projects ranging from daily tasks to technically challenging.
• Ability to collaborate and work cross functionally with Product Marketing and Product Technology to develop new products while continuing to implement product improvements.
• Work with Quality and Manufacturing to identify and address quality concerns and processing issues.
• Perform product performance and application testing
• Manage and train direct reports.

• Solid knowledge in resin and colorants.
• Experience with color technology/science.
• Understands application techniques including spray.
• Working knowledge of project management tools.
• Understanding of formulation software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Possess good data collection and analytical skills.
• Good trouble shooter/problem solver
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Strong people and cross functional team management skills
• Foster team involvement within and outside the laboratory
• Good understanding of the competition
• Quality control experience
• Highly motivated
• Hands on

• BS in chemistry or related discipline.
• 10+ years experience.
• Formulation expertise in architectural coatings especially interior preferred.
• Paint manufacturing and scale up expertise.
• 5+ years managerial experience.
