The Manager of Sales Implementation is responsible to lead the market implementation of programs supporting local field managers and acting as a detail expert and conduit between HQ program development and the field sales team. The Implementation Manager provides leadership on effective implementation of programs and services that ensure excellence in execution.
Lead Market Implementation of Retailer and Field Programs & Initiatives 
Ensure the NA Field Sales Team is successfully executing on all aspects of the annual sales plan to achieve desired results

Collaborate with the local market managers to establish KPIs, goals and metrics in alignment with Sales Plan objectives
Review market attainment of Sales Plan results utilizing reporting and analysis
Provide feedback and recommendations to market management on Sales Plan attainment, to date
Provide markets with detailed understanding of sales plan deliverables and expectations and required workflows for implementation

 
Link Programs with Specific Retailer Opportunities
Identify specific areas for improvement with retailers coordinating the appropriate programs and services

Provide specific recommendations for retailer improvement linking appropriate programs and services to address opportunities
Monitor Store Assessment ratings of retailer appraisal programs providing details on opportunities for development of retailer action planning with market retail resource

Identify and Communicate Sales Tool & Program Needs 
Identify and communicate the need for sales tools and programs that will support our Field Sales Team in driving results

Evaluate tool and program effectiveness in the field along with success factors
Assist with the creation of metrics and reporting to measure and evaluate program effectiveness
Provide feedback on existing sales tools and programs with improvement recommendations to program owners
Provide feedback on existing training with improvement recommendations
Act as a conduit between HQ and field sales team to identify and overcome obstacles

 
Field and Retailer Engagement and Relationship Building
Engage retailers in coordination with Field Sales Team to monitor our overall program and service effectiveness in meeting their needs and promote long term brand loyalty

Work closely to support Customer Relationship Management implementation and execution
Provide critical feedback and analysis on field and retailer engagement with specific programs
Work closely to support Retailer Services Team with implementation and effectiveness of  in-store programs 

Monitor and Communicate Industry Trends and Competitive Activity
Closely monitor regional  industry retail and consumer trends along with competitive actions and selling tactics across North America to capitalize on opportunities and gain market share
Maintain an awareness of current and emerging retail trends that can be applied to support our industry

Support retailer trade shows and events throughout North America
Support industry business groups and affiliations throughout North America

 
 
Key Words: project manager, program manager, coatings, paint, implementation, process
Required Skills
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience (retail sales preferred)
College degree or equivalent business experience (paint/coatings industry preferred)
Practical business analytical & planning experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, CRM and Business Objects
Excellent communication, listening and public speaking skills
Ability to analyze situation and identify opportunities for success
Effective decision making and problem solving skills
Practical retailing and/or selling skills
Proven use of direct selling techniques in varied situations or settings
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record a must
Willingness & ability to travel with up to 25% overnight
Ability to work varied and long hours when necessary
Hours may vary and will require occasional evening and weekend work depending on business needs
