As an Administrative Assistant I you will perform and assist with a wide variety of administrative tasks in support of the Design Section within Metropolitan's Engineering Services Group. Responsibilities will include: calendaring meetings in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Zoom; formatting, proofreading, and preparing formal correspondence; tracking and routing approvals via DocuSign; processing purchase requisitions via Oracle; ordering, receiving, and maintaining office supplies; managing files and data in SharePoint; archiving and processing files for offsite record storage; preparing travel authorization requests and expense reports; serving as a timekeeper; providing front office coverage as needed; answering phones, redirecting customers and greeting visitors; sorting and distributing internal and external mail; and organizing special meetings or events.
Your ability to be successful in this role is dependant on your attention to detail, organizational ability, administrative skills, and your ability to communicate and interact with others effectively.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: A high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate and four years of relevant experience; or Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Relevant Experience is defined as: administrative work experience
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
