This is a
paid internship on HSBC’s Internal Audit US Project and Management team. Our
team is responsible for HSBC senior management reporting, US regulatory
reporting, managing audits completion, audit planning and issue
management. Additionally, the team is also responsible for all US
internal reporting. We provide expertise in audit methodology, audit system guidance
to ensure audit operations are appropriate executed and meet all stakeholders
expectations.
This is
an opportunity to work on a top performing, global internal audit team while
gaining valuable exposure to Internal Audit function. This position is located
in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
will include:
- Supporting the team
throughout the audit planning process.
- Ensure internal controls and
processes follow Group audit methodology.
- Assist the team in all
management reporting.
- Managing data in the audit
databases.
- Ad hoc projects including
preparing presentations, organizing team events, etc.
- Candidate must be a either a
recent graduate and/or attending graduate school.
- Outstanding academic
background with/pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or related
field.
- Demonstrable interest in
working in the financial services industry.
- Strong written and verbal
communication skills, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and
interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management,
and the ability to juggle multiple projects at one time.
- Self-motivated and highly
accountable.
- Team player who is
comfortable working with individuals at all levels.
- Strong Excel skills and
proficient at other Microsoft Office applications, and able to learn new
software quickly.
