The ideal candidate manages all sales activities, accountability and responsibilities of the region to assure attainment of corporate goals, business goals, sales goals and strategic goals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve corporate goals, sales goals and regional market share goals.
  • Defines and implements sales forecast. Determines, sets, communicates and is accountable for achievement of sales goals.
  • Acts as liaison between sales department and other departments. 
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships, conflict resolution, and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Utilizes local knowledge and market analyses to determine customer needs, appropriate pricing, and adherence to guidelines.
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales initiatives.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition and reports findings to Marketing.
  • Responsible for administration and adherence of regional expense budget. 
  • Reinforces consultative selling principles in daily field work. 
  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product. 
  • Monitor IPO submissions and review proposals and financials to assure accuracy prior to submission to finance department.

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required. 
  • Minimum 5 years related experience; Management experience preferred. 

Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, percentages, market share, profitability.
  • Ability to apply basic math and business financial concepts. 
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must have current driver's license. 
  • Ability to conduct on-site customer demonstrations and visits. 
  • Travel: Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time, including overnight travel. Ability to travel internationally.
