The Senior Information Technology System Administrator (Senior Oracle Database Administrator) will serves as technical lead to all journey and entry-level database administrators. This position will be part of the team IT Group, Infrastructure Unit and report to the Database Team Manager. In this capacity the individual will be responsible with managing and maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Oracle databases and/or associated applications and/or servers.

This position will provide subject matter expertise knowledge and lead overall technical support in the following functional areas: Disaster Recovery plans for the Oracle database and its related servers operating on HP-Unix Itanium, Oracle Enterprise Linux System, Microsoft Windows, and Cloud-based infrastructure: Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Installation, Configuration and System Administration of PeopleSoft HCM application software.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of relevant experience.

Relevant degree is defined as: Computer Information Systems; Information Technology and Computer Science.

Relevant Experience is defined as:Oracle database system administration: installation, configuration, backup/restore databases, database monitoring, patching, and debugging; Oracle PeopleSoft system administration: installation, configuration, monitoring, debugging, and applying version upgrades; Oracle Dataguard and Recovery Manager for database backup/restore and disaster recovery


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
