As a Fleet Dispatcher at the Metropolitan Water District’s Headquarters, you will interact with employees of all levels as you assist with the dispatch of company vehicles and management of transportation orders. This includes a variety of responsibilities such as: monitoring and safe-keeping of transportation orders and vehicle pool keys; transportation of vehicles for service; record keeping and other administrative functions; inspecting executive staff vehicles as required; and transporting internal and external parties as needed.

Your effective customer service, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, discretionary skills and administrative skills, are critical to success in this role.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: A high school diploma or a certificate of high school equivalency and one year of relevant experience in one or more of the following: performing non-mechanical vehicle inspections, maintaining vehicle related information such as usage records, mileage, services, maintenance, and/or repairs; OR one year in a related MWD position.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
