This role will assist with maintaining and expanding sourcing activities for talent in support of the organization’s EEO, Affirmative Action and Nondiscrimination programs. Data accuracy will be critical when preparing and interpreting workforce analytics related to these programs. Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills will enable the successful candidate to build relationships that promote talent pipelines with underrepresented populations. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders on actions and approaches that assist Metropolitan in achieving a diverse and skilled workforce.

Working under the direction of the Equal Employment Opportunity Manager, the primary focus will be to further outreach efforts that support the attraction of qualified and diverse talent in support of compliance programs.

Responsibilities include developing, improving and identifying partnerships for Metropolitan's outreach and diversity efforts; collaborate and interface with resources and partners to disseminate information on employment opportunities to generate a qualified and diverse candidate pool. Recommends the establishment of new programs relating to EEO/AA programs and recruitment outreach efforts. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, in particular Excel. Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail are necessary as you clean and combine large workforce data sets.

There is approximately 30 - 40% travel within Metropolitan’s service area including occasional evening, weekend workout and out of town.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years relevant experience; or two years as a MWD Human Resources Analyst II.

Relevant Experience is defined as: Human Resources, EEO, Affirmative Action, Nondiscrimination, Talent Acquisition, Diversity Recruiting, Employment Specialist, Compliance, Data Analytics, Diversity & Inclusion, Outreach, and Community Engagement in any setting.

This classification performs work that requires maintaining confidentiality and is routinely privy to matters that either involves confidential information, sensitive personnel issues, or exposure to confidential and sensitive strategic corporate information.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
