As part of the Water Efficiency Team (WET), you will assist in the implementation of MWD water conservation programs. These programs include but are not limited to the Turf Replacement Program, the Water Savings Incentive Program, and the SoCal Water Smart Rebate Programs for commercial and residential consumers. You will also work with other WET members to assist with current and future MWD program design, vendor and member agency contract oversight, data base management, budgets, program implementation, studies, new technologies, correspondence, reports, and presentations.
As an Assistant Resource Specialist II you may assist with Landscape training classes and workshops, Water Use Efficiency Meetings, Council for Watershed Health School Education Program, Commercial and residential inspection program and Landscape Survey Program. You will also work with metropolitan member and retail agencies on these and other water efficiency programs. You will need to demonstrate excellent data management techniques, customer service skills, written skills, communication skills and have the ability to problem solve, and work independently and in a team environment.
You will engage as part of the Water Efficiency Team on a variety of water efficiency projects for commercial, residential and industrial consumers. This position will also assist in collecting, organizing and maintaining data in economic, climate, demographic and demand studies.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience; or two years in a MWD Assistant Resource Specialist I classification.
Relevant Experience is defined as:a combination of competencies within water, and/or energy efficiency programs, contract management and landscape conservation; experience with data analytics, data visualization, statistics, and analysis using large data sets; additional experience with GIS, data science software packages, and coding for data analysis.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
