This is an entry level position within the Facility Planning Unit’s Substructures Team. Perform engineering reviews of site development, Street improvement, utility installation and landscaping plans: and tract and parcel maps for conformance to Metropolitan’s guidelines and requirements in order to protect Metropolitan’s facilities and right-of-way. Prepare detailed correspondences containing Metropolitan’s comments in response to project submittals. Communicate with project proponents by phone and in personal meetings. Represent Metropolitan at construction meetings with contractors.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field by hired date.
Related field of study is defined as: a Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
