As an Accounting Technician II (Accounts Payable) you will have the opportunity to work with Oracle, the most recognized accounts payable system in the nation. You will be responsible for receiving, scanning, verifying the accuracy of, distributing and processing invoices through the Oracle system. Excellent customer service is extremely important as the position will be responsible for communicating with various levels within the organization while operating in a fast paced environment.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate and four years of increasingly responsible, relevant experience; or two years in a MWD Accounting Technician I classification; completion of two years full time accredited college work in accounting or related business field may be substituted for one year of related experience.


Relevant Experience is defined as: work experience within accounting


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is a consortium of 26 cities and water districts that provides drinking water to nearly 19 million people in Southern California.
