Within the Resource Development Team of the Water Resource Management Group, the Assistant Resource Specialist II will be responsible for assisting in projects and programs relating to water resources planning and development. You will perform research and analyses on new local supplies and assist in studies on salinity, desalination, the water-energy nexus, water use efficiency and other water resource issues. This includes assisting in the development of innovative programs and solutions to address water resource development challenges. Under the direction of lead staff, you will also operate and maintain water resource models and administer program agreements.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience; or two years in a MWD Assistant Resource Specialist I classification.

Relevant Experience is defined as: work experience assisting with resource evaluation, research, analysis, modeling, program development, or policy.


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
