Bring your skill and experience in administering and coordinating the following administrative support for the HR Business Support Team while maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information. As an Administrative Analyst III you will act as the Human Resources budget coordinator and be the first point of contact on financial budgetary matters. This includes, budgeting processes and systems, advising HR managers in the preparation of budgets, monitoring expenditures and communicating with management on variances and recommendations for budget adherence. You will take lead during budget development; create financial reports, support databases by entering information from a variety of source documents; document enterprise wide business processes. Manage RFP/contracts; properly classify independent contractors and consultants, which include reviewing independent contractor and consultant agreements for tasks and deliverables; conducting common law interviews with agreement administrators; monitoring the non-employees report and making recommendations for CalPERS compliance.

As the Administrative Analyst III you will present findings and recommendations, in writing and edit documents intended for the Group Manager, General Manager or Board of Directors. Under the guidance of the HR Business Support Team Manager the Administrative Analyst III will support the Wellness Program which may include communicating and responding to MetFit inquiries, assist with the coordination of wellness events and seminars, disseminating wellness information and documentation, reviewing and processing wellness reimbursement requests and while the position is located at Union Station, you may occasionally travel to MWD facilities for wellness events. You will also assist with the planning, coordination and implementation of the Employee Appreciation event at Headquarters and serve as the primary point of contact with all field sites for Employee Appreciation events.

The ideal candidate for this role will have exceptional customer service, expertise in analytical and budget processes, event coordination, project management skills, attention to detail and the ability to operate in confidential environments within Human Resources.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years relevant experience; or two years as a MWD Analyst II level in the related field.

Relevant Experience is defined as administrative experience primarily focusing on performing analytical duties in the areas of budget/financial analysis, RFP/contracts, project management, event coordination and organizational analysis.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
