The company’s Environmental Group develops custom water hygiene programs to minimize the risks associated with Legionella bacteria and other waterborne pathogens in building water systems. A closely controlled water treatment program is an essential element in every streamlined facility. We focus on providing clients with superior, cost-effective water treatment products and services, delivered by some of the most experienced and educated water treatment engineers. We are currently looking for an Equipment Support Engineer to work in our main office in Newton, MA.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support and solutions for field personnel with regard to water treatment equipment and automation inquiries
- Develop equipment and automation solutions and evaluate new technologies
- Handle requests for equipment repair, determine disposition of inoperable equipment, and initiate repair orders
- Expedite equipment backorders and act as liaison between field engineers and Barclay's purchasing and manufacturing staff
- Coordinate equipment supply, repair, and warranty issues with vendors and Barclay’s purchasing department
- Assist Barclay field engineers with automation installations at customer sites
Qualifications include:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or other related degree
- 1-3 years’ experience in water treatment or automation preferred
- Good mechanical skills required
- Knowledge of communication protocols in Building Management Systems (BMS) is a plus
- Strong relationship management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
