POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Application Support Analyst is an entry-level, full-time position within OHA’s Data Services department. A successful Application Support Analyst is a motivated individual who is customer focused and uses their analytical skills to find the root cause of an issue. This position will provide technical support for internal and external users of custom developed Web applications and Microsoft CRM. The Application Support Analyst will identify application issues and work with users to define acceptable solutions. The Application Support Analyst will have very strong attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and good written and oral communication skills. This position reports to the Senior Director, Data Services

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Duties:

  • Develop an extensive working knowledge of the OHA’s Web application suite
  • Provide a high level of customer support for OHA’s Web applications
  • Troubleshoot application issues and functionality
  • Track and report application issues, data submissions and data issues
  • Create and maintain user manuals (i.e. support materials and documentation) for OHA’s Web applications
  • Provide problem determination, workaround resolution, and root cause analysis for application issues
  • Develop and execute test plans based on user or system design specifications
  • Assist in product development, testing, and release
  • Create productive relationships with and between key users

Secondary Duties as Needed:

  • Provide end-user training on applications as needed
  • Write and execute test plans and user acceptance testing cases for quality assurance of OHA’s applications
  • Other related duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in health information managment, information technology, or related field
  • 1+ years of application support experience
  • Strong computer skills and extensive experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel required
  • Prior customer service experience is strongly desired
  • Prior experience with hospital or related health care data preferred, but not required

  • Ability to learn SQL for the creation of ad hoc queries and data updates
  • Proficient in current technologies and eager and willing to learn new ones
  • Absolute trustworthiness when dealing with confidential information
  • Willingness to ask questions as appropriate and take direction and coaching
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently and with others
  • Ability to get along with others
