The University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business is seeking an Assistant Director of Global Community Engagement. This position is responsible for coordinating programs in assigned program areas, advising students on academic issues, and participating in the administration of policies, programs, and procedures related to undergraduate students in the Tippie College of Business. Responsibilities will require some time outside the 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. workday.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Required Qualifications:

  • Reasonable experience (1 to 3 years) in higher education academic advising or similar advising role, such as admissions counseling, career advising, or study abroad advising.
  • Demonstrated interest in international education.
  • Working knowledge of and experience in program management and/or event planning and execution.
  • Expert knowledge of and ability to communicate effectively with individuals and large groups both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office computer applications.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, student services or a related field.
  • Reasonable experience (1 to 3 years) in higher education international student advising, advocacy, or support.
  • Knowledge of study abroad program coordination.
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures related to undergraduate students.
