ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Lecturer in Plant Biology teaches plant biology and diversity, undertakes research and publishes in an area corresponding to their expertise (with a focus on plant biology, plant molecular biology, including biotechnology, genomics or phylogenetics).
This will include:
- Promoting the School and establish and maintain links and partnerships with the academic, industry and professional communities.
- Making an independent contribution to the School and Faculty’s teaching, research, program development, and relevant service activities.
- Demonstrating excellent scholarly learning and teaching across all levels and modes (including for example in the cloud and in clinical settings) with an emerging reputation at the national level.
- Making a significant contribution to the implementation of the University’s Strategic Agenda.
ABOUT YOU
- PhD in plant biology or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to make a significant contribution to the Faculty’s teaching programs in plant biology through personal teaching and academic leadership.
- Significant experience in supervising PhD and Honours students.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of partnerships with professional associations and domestic or overseas educational institutions and industry.
