Job Description: 

Harris Corporation has an immediate opening for a Security Manager to support the Electronic Systems Mission Network (MN) business. The position will be based at the Melbourne, Florida NASA campus with oversight responsibilities for all MN locations.

This position is responsible for the leadership, management, and direction of a diverse and integrated security organization supporting the operations of an 1800 person business unit and leading supplier of technical solutions and operations for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), U.S. government, and international commercial operations. 

The incumbent will:

  • Provide security guidance and leadership for complex industrial security programs that safeguard critical technologies, sensitive information, facilities and ensures the personnel security reliability of a trusted work force.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the disciplines of personnel, physical, information and cyber-security as well as the ability to integrate counterintelligence into security to proactively identify and mitigate threats to corporate operations,
  • Integrate security operations to support high value contracts, proposals and business development operations.
  • Manage enterprise risk from internal and external threats, providing comprehensive assessment of threats, vulnerability and security countermeasure recommendations for business leaders.
  • Represent corporate security interests at a senior level to superior and subordinate parts of the corporation and to external industry, government and interagency entities.
  • Oversee crisis management planning and executions, direct the conduct of security investigations and assist with disciplinary and legal matters involving employee misconduct.
  • Oversee a comprehensive self-inspection and security performance measurement program. 

To be successful in this position, the incumbent must possess the following critical attributes:   

  • Outstanding communication, rapport and relationship building skills as a member of the senior security management team.
  • An advance ability to creatively solve problems and demonstrate flexibility in applying security solutions to dynamics business operations.
  • Unquestionable personal and business integrity.

Required Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree with ten years of related experience.
  • Combined ten years’ experience in security, counterintelligence or law enforcement.
  • Ten or more year’s progressive managerial experience
  • Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Specific experience with security compliance with the Federal Government, National Industrial Security Program, special access program security and intelligence community security requirements.
  • Professional security and cyber security certifications.
  • Advance degree in a security or business related discipline.
  • Six sigma certified to lead process improvement initiatives.

Clearance Level Required at Start: Top Secret with SCI eligibility ate.

Percent of Travel Required: Less than 25%

Work Status:  Full-Time
