OPERATIONS PLANT MANAGER

BARCLAY WATER MANAGEMENT, INC. was founded in 1932 and is the oldest and largest employee-owned water treatment organization in North America.  We manufacture a wide range of specialty treatments for controlling water chemistry in heating, cooling, process and power generating systems.  

We are currently seeking an Operations Plant Manager for our Watertown, MA Manufacturing Plant.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Achieves efficient, economical and timely production of company’s products by effectively planning production activities.
  • Maintains activity flow and oversee the preparation of daily schedules for plant production packaging and shipment.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Ensure transportation is organized in a timely manner.
  • Ensure shipments comply with D.O.T. regulations.
  • Ensure the customer receives products in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Responsible for facility waste and waste minimization.
  • Ensure the operations within the facility are in accordance with the HS&E policies and procedures.
  • Supervision of Production and SAFE® Delivery staff.
  • Schedule SAFE® deliveries to customers.
  • Maintenance of truck fleet and delivery equipment.
  • Motivate subordinates to achieve facility goals by communicating short term and long term objectives.
  • Enhance employee involvement by establishing communication avenues between all levels and departments.
  • Recruit, train and develop talent.
  • Stay abreast of all regulatory requirements and ensure facility activities meet or exceed those requirements.

 

 

Qualifications include:

  • B.S. in Facility Engineering, Chemistry or Engineering with 5 years facility management experience, or 10 years relevant work experience.
  • Specialty Chemical/Chemical Blending process experience helpful
  • Ability to maximize production, reduce costs, motivate staff and develop an aggressive, positive manufacturing facility.
  • Demonstrated track record in team management, strong work ethic and excellent communication skills desired.
  • Strong leadership skills is a must.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • The ability to load and move up to 100 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
