•Completion of Post Offer Exam, Completion of Work Simulation or Completion of Administrative Skills Testing if applicable.

Additional Information 
•Must be able to work in a controlled environment, including wearing gowning, personal protective equipment (safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses).
•Must be able to pass a post-offer physical exam.
•Must be able to read, speak and write English at a sufficient level to communicate technical and business information effectively.
•Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends.
•Overtime may be required during shutdowns, emergency situations or periods of heavy workloads.
•Physical considerations include the ability to work with or around equipment, climb ladders and stairs, and use PPE (personal protective equipment).
•He / she may be exposed to harsh weather conditions as part of the job.
•FDE Only-This position is not permanent.  It is for a fixed duration of two years with potential to extend annually for up to 4 years.

*Responsibilities 
This position is for a HVACR Fixed Duration Employment (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) Mechanic. There will be development training delivered for this position over the 2 year period of fixed duration employment.  At the end of the 2 year period, and upon successfully achievement of facility qualification, the individual may be eligible to apply for a permanent position.
 
The focus of this position is to provide HVACR maintenance support for production and utilities.
 
By the end of the 2 year period,you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of our systems, troubleshooting skills and the ability to repair chillers, freeze dryers, freezers, refrigerators, and safely handle refrigerants at our facilities.  In additional, you will be able to demonstrate and perform HEPA filter installation and testing and repairs to fume and UAF hoods, steam traps, hot water systems, exhaust and ventilation fans.
 
Additional Skills/Preferences 
•Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
•Prefer a certificate, diploma or degree from a technical school, junior college or college program.
•Military training and experience in instrumentation, or a related field, may be an acceptable alternative for a certificate or diploma.
•Previous HVACR experience in the chemical, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industry may be an acceptable alternative for a certificate or vocational diploma
