Job Summary
This Associate Technical Product Manager will provide technical support across the product portfolio and is a critical member to the Brand Management team. The position requires a strong background in science or in an industry-related technical field preferably in the paint and coatings industry. An understanding around the chemistry of paint, technical specifications, regulatory issues, competitive intelligence and sales support would be a plus.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop label and technical data sheets text for select products
* Provide technical information to the Brand Management team focusing on competitive advantage
* Review sales aids for technical accuracy and consistency
* Track and analyze competitive products including improvements, claims and new product entries to provide Brand team with up to date competitive intelligence and implications for potential new product developments
* Provide information to ensure product approvals from customers and regulatory agencies
* Assist with technical information needed for new product activation and database entries
* Assist with customer complaint response and resolution process as needed

Required Skills:
* Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Science or a technical business related field
* Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a technical related position; preferably in a manufacturing environment
* Previous experience working with technical data and specifications a plus
* Strong organizational and project management skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting both within the marketing function, within the company, and with external agencies and customers
* Thrives in a team-oriented environment and enthusiastic about generating new ideas and learning new skills
* Outstanding execution skills with a strong attention to detail
* Strong software skills, in particular PowerPoint and Excel
* Travel 10%
