SAP ABAP PI Development Lead
SAP ABAP PI Development Lead is a hands-on expert for design, development, maintenance and support of application solutions using SAP Netweaver - Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) and Process Orchestration (PIPO), with over 5 years of experience in consulting and managing implementation, support and upgrade projects.

SAP ABAP PI Development Lead will be responsible for enhancing, maintaining and supporting the SAP design and development process by developing new programs, resolving defects, providing assistance in solving end user problems, answering development-related questions, and testing/validating development effort.

This role will be accountable for in-depth SAP/ABAP, PIPO and SAP/Workflow development skills and business knowledge on Enterprise Central Component (ECC) 6.0 and PIPO 7.4 in order to develop, maintain and integrate enterprise business systems with other mission-critical complementary non-SAP systems like WMS Manhattan, Infinion and other external business partners.
* Formulate and define best practice programming standards that meet regulatory compliance requirements for Implementation, Support and Upgrade Projects.
* Working closely with Functional Leads to determine optimal programming solutions to functional requirements in O2C, R2R and P2P process areas.
* Ability to independently contribute ideas and recommendations to the continuous improvement process of the ERP team.
* Perform systems analysis, configuration, requirements gathering, unit and integration testing, as well as application of OSS notes and support of interfaces between SAP and other non-SAP applications.
* Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
* Working closely with Testing/QA Lead to execute system unit testing and supporting integration testing and regression testing for processes requiring ABAP programming or User Exits.
* Research, develop & implement solutions using established SDLC methodology.
* Provide ABAP technical support for patch and release upgrades.
* Document and maintain a solution portfolio and identify opportunities for solution re-use.
* Identifies opportunities to re-engineer existing solutions to better utilize technology, optimize performance, and simplify support.
* Manage and coordinate work of consultants when necessary.

Required Skills:
* Strong SAP ABAP programming skills with minimum 7 year’s experience in application development utilizing ABAP and minimum 3 years progressive experience using PIPO 7.0 or higher.
* At least 2 full life-cycle SAP implementations using a recognized methodology required.
* Practical experience with programming Function Modules, SmartForms, Object-Oriented ABAP, BOR, User Exits, Enhancements, Reports and Dialog Programming required.
* Good knowledge of SAP interfacing technologies (ALE/IDocs, EDI, BAPIs, flat-file interfaces).
* SAP Workflow experience preferred.
* Exposing and consuming SOAP and REST based web services in SAP preferred.
* A strong understanding of modern enhancement techniques using BAdIs and/or the Enhancement Framework required.
* Concentrated focus in development related to Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM) or Financial Accounting/Controlling (FI/CO) preferred.
* IS-Retail experience preferred. CRM, Upgrade and/or Solution Manager experience a plus.
* Knowledge of the ASAP project methodology or a related project methodology. Knowledge of Agile methodology is a plus.
* Self-motivated, team player with ability to work and manage offshore resources.
* Ability and experience of working in a transforming environment.
* Excellent Analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
* Strong customer service organization and conflict management skills
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field of study from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience.
