Job Summary
The Public Relations Associate Manager works closely with all members of the marketing team to implement and execute communication programs to promote the organization, its products, brand and executives to multiple audiences. This role reports to the Senior Public Relations Manager and will work with the team to ensure our important customer and partner audiences are kept informed of product developments, retail activations, strategic alliances, color innovation, organizational and business updates, marketing activities and key CSR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
* Act as a media contact for Benjamin Moore & Co., implementing proactive and reactive media relations efforts such as anticipating and fielding media questions, identifying key media opportunities and fostering strategic partnerships
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop communications plans and implement activities based on business needs
* Facilitate incoming media requests by providing images, paint and design tips, arrange interviews, etc.
* Responsible for compiling critical information with regard to distributing press releases, fact sheets, talking points, Q&As, FAQs, internal articles, briefing materials
* Increase the visibility of our company’s experts, products and services by facilitating, speaking and interview opportunities
* Manage trade relationships, including developing press lists, editorial calendars, briefing documents and also pitching to reporters, gaining broad experience with the media
* Liaise with PR agencies and other vendors to coordinate monitoring reports, media lists and editorial calendars

Required Skills:
* BA/BS required, preferably in public relations, communications or related field
* Minimum of 3-5+ years of relevant public relations, communications or media experience is preferred
* Solid verbal and written communication skills
* Outstanding organizational skills and ability to work autonomously
* The ability and the desire to work in an exciting, dynamic deadline driven environment
