The Director is accountable for the profitability, sales growth and success of Benjamin Moore’s international sales. Provide short and long term strategic and functional direction to support Company business objectives. Allocate and manage resources, coordinate and develop specific country and distributor sales plans, embed an operational and implementation excellence culture with internal stakeholders, and attract, build and motivate a high-performing and sustainable sales team. Extensive international travel.

Business Planning:
Create an overall Business Plan for the international market, aligned to company strategy and Brand positioning, to include but not limited to:
* Selling strategies to all distributors and their targeted customer segment groups
* New business development
* Market assessment and prioritization
* Top and bottom line business improvement plans
* P&L / Balance Sheet accountability with metrics

Grow the Business / Local Market Knowledge:

Execute and implement the established strategies balanced by tactical realities to support Benjamin Moore direction and sales growth in the identified international markets.

Monitor the marketplace to stay ahead of trends; know what customers want; understand the concept of leveraging the brand and incorporate it in all business activities.

Utilize key business indicators and analytical methodology to drive decision-making within the international markets to make optimal use of resources to create profitability.

Team Development and Leadership:

Build, lead and maintain a cohesive, collaborative team to realize objectives.

Monitor team effectiveness; establish goals and clarify expectations; ensure proper training and development systems are in place; provide timely feedback and coach employees at all levels; give timely and accurate performance feedback and mentor others; groom employees for advancement.

Partner within the Benjamin Moore support functions; understand how to leverage and source resources and information; know how to work collaboratively cross functionally by readily establishing relationships within the organization.

Required Skills:
* Advanced degree or certification strongly preferred; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience considered
* Ability to dedicate extensive time to international travel
* Strategic, business, financial planning knowledge and abilities
* Ability to interpret and communicate mission and value concepts to a wide range of internal and external representatives
* Ability to make strategic, operational and administrative decisions in response to emerging conditions and environmental circumstances
* Being multi-lingual is preferred (Spanish, French, Italian)
