Job Summary

You will work in Exploratory Teams of Senior Scientists from different disciplines focusing on the novel pigment dispersion technology for architectural coatings. These teams will rapidly explore new dispersants and dispersion technologies for color pigments, and develop next generation of products. Senior Scientist team members will complement each other in their disciplines and their approaches to innovative products. The position requires a high degree of analysis, innovation and creative problem solving. Projects assigned will be challenging, complex and demanding in nature
* Work with cross-disciplinary teams to develop new dispersion technology,
* Must be outwardly focused to capture and apply new technology developments from their industries,
* Identify, explore and prove feasibility of novel product chemistries,
* Develop and evaluate color pigment dispersions for new products or for improvement of the current products
* Work with process engineer to scale up new products,
* Manage and train junior chemists

Required Experience:
* Advanced degree, Ph.D. preferred, in chemistry or related fields
* Minimum 10 year working experience in pigment dispersion in coatings or related industries
* Hands-on experiences in formulating and testing color pigment dispersion,
* Through knowledge of dispersants and dispersion technology for color pigments
* Knowledge of color pigment, color pigment dispersion process parameter, and process equipment from lab scale to production
* Highly motivated and a self-starter
* Strong organization skills, detail oriented and highly organized,
* Must possess outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills
