Information Technology Services, a service organization that provides technology support for the University of Iowa campus, is seeking an enthusiastic and talented software developer to design, develop, and support our Student Information System, MAUI (Made at University of Iowa), which supports over 30,000 users. MAUI is a recently developed web application suite based upon Java and Oracle technologies with integrations to multiple vended and homegrown systems.
This position will work closely with Admissions and Financial Aid Office functional users to collect requirements and define solutions. The Admissions/Financial Aid Workgroup is comprised of knowledgeable, highly skilled and self-starting individuals. We are looking for candidates who enjoy supporting a passionate customer base in a contemporary work environment. Our environment is fast paced and candidates who can move fluidly between projects and tasks are preferred. As we routinely solve complex support problems, having higher education administrative system and process knowledge are helpful. This position will be responsible for mission critical enterprise applications and data. Attention to detail, excellent critical thinking skills, and ability to multitask are required.
